Balls of Joy (SHF #13: The Dark Side)

I never have milk chocolate stocked in my pantry. It’s always dark chocolate. I keep some white chocolate (it’s not chocolate!) mostly for garnish. So, one day, when I was craving reaaaally bad for something chocolatey, I turned left-over cakes into balls and balls of dark chocolate. All placed in black paper cups. Dark mood, sweet teeth. Whoopie Pies!

I made this the first time when I was 11 years old, the recipe referred it as “Othello”. About two weeks ago I saw it on Oprah, turned out the name is Whoopie Pies :)

It’s chocolate cake sandwich with buttercream and custard filling, coated with melted chocolate. So simple, so tempting. Make it in bite-size to minimize the guilty feeling :)

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

A Must-Have for coffee lovers!

Just the right composition of dominant coffee-chocolate, cheese in the background, and a hint of cinnamon. Very flirty, even for a non-coffee drinker like me. (more…)
